Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data MotoTech Philippines collects when you shop with us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. We collect only what we need to process and ship your order — nothing more.

Who we are

MotoTech Philippines (“MotoTech”, “we”, “us”) sells genuine CFMOTO parts, performance upgrades, and riding gear, shipped worldwide from the Philippines. For the purposes of the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), we are the Personal Information Controller responsible for your data.

Registered business name and address: [REGISTERED BUSINESS NAME & ADDRESS].

What we collect

We collect the following when you place an order:

  • Contact details — your email address and (optionally) phone number.
  • Recipient name — the name the order ships to.
  • Shipping address — street address, city, region/state, postal code, and country.
  • Order details — the items you buy, quantities, prices, and the customs description and weight needed for the shipping waybill.
  • Payment references — the transaction identifiers returned by our payment provider (see “Payments” below). We never see or store your full card number.

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect a password. Checkout is guest-only.

How we use your data

We use your personal data only to:

  • process your order and take payment;
  • source, prepare, and ship your items, including preparing customs documentation;
  • send you transactional emails — order confirmation, updates, and the tracking link;
  • respond to your enquiries and provide support; and
  • keep records we are required to keep by law (for example, tax and accounting records).

Our legal basis is the performance of our contract with you (fulfilling your order) and compliance with our legal obligations. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

Payments

Payments are processed by PayPal. When you pay, your card or PayPal account details are entered with PayPal directly and handled under PayPal’s own privacy policy. We receive only a transaction reference confirming that payment succeeded — we never receive or store your full card number. This keeps your card details out of our systems entirely.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing tools of any kind. Our storefront runs no Google Analytics, no Meta/Facebook Pixel, and no comparable trackers.

To make the store work, your browser stores a few functional items locally on your own device — your shopping cart, your selected motorcycle model, and your display preferences. This information stays in your browser and is not used to track you across other websites. The only cookie we set is used solely for our staff to log in to the admin area; it is never set for shoppers.

Who we share your data with

We share your data only with the service providers we need to fulfil your order:

  • PayPal — to process your payment.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — our hosting and email provider. Our systems and email delivery run in the AWS Asia Pacific (Singapore) region.
  • Shipping carriers (such as DHL or EMS) — we provide your name and delivery address so your order can be shipped and cleared through customs.
  • Facebook / Messenger — only if you choose to contact us there, in which case Meta’s privacy policy applies to that conversation.

We may also disclose data where required by law or a lawful request from an authority. We do not otherwise share, rent, or sell your personal data.

International transfer of data

Because our hosting and email run on AWS in Singapore, and because we ship worldwide, your personal data may be stored or processed outside the Philippines. Where this happens, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards for your data consistent with the Data Privacy Act of 2012. Note that our infrastructure providers may automatically log technical information such as IP addresses at the platform level as part of operating and securing the service.

How long we keep your data

We keep your order and contact information for as long as needed to fulfil your order and to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Our standard retention period is [RETENTION PERIOD — e.g. 10 years for sales records per BIR requirements].

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the right to:

  • be informed about how your data is processed;
  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct any inaccurate or outdated data;
  • object to processing, or request that we erase or block your data, where the law allows;
  • data portability; and
  • lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph) if you believe your rights have been violated.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

How we protect your data

We use reputable, security-focused infrastructure providers and limit access to your personal data to the people who need it to fulfil your order. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we take reasonable and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
